Johns Hopkins Magazine is a quarterly publication that features award-winningstorytelling about the latest in science, medicine, education, technology, engineering, international affairs, and the arts and humanities.

ABOUT JOHNS HOPKINS MAGAZINE

Founded by alumnus Corbin Gwaltney, who would go on to found the Chronicle of Higher Education, the magazine first landed in readers’ mailboxes in 1950.

Published for the graduates, faculty, and friends of a leading university, it was conceived to give readers intellectual nourishment, and over the years has featured thought-provoking and sometimes controversial articles on topics ranging from particle physics to student unrest.
